"Esrar benim değil. Şoförümün. Ben esrar kullanmıyorum. Kokain kullanıyorum." Tarkan bunu dediyse eger gercekten polise sorgusu sirasinda, dunya capinda bir starimiz var demektir artik.

Bal - 4
Berlin film festivalinin juri baskaninin Werner Herzog oldugunu gordugumde hemen tum paramla Bal'in altin ayiyi kazanacagina dair bahse girmeliydim. Herzog, bir Kiarostami hayrani. (Kiarostami’s films are extraordinary. Words can’t relate my feelings. See his movies and then you’ll see what I mean).

Son kullanma tarihinin gectigini farkettince cope attim bali. Kurallara uymaya boyle sartlanmisim iste. Oysa tadinda bir degisiklik yoktu.
Bal - 1
Uzun suredir nezle/grip olmadigimdan ve bogaz agrisi cekmedimden olacak dolabin bir kosesinde unutulmus bal kavanozu. Kavanoz lafin icabi aslinda, bashis konusu plastik bir tup, sikinca memesinden bal damlayan. Hasta olunca bu hafta sonu tekrar hatirlandi kendisi. Bal revisited.

"He was starting to get pissed off with the world's stupid obsession with Brazil. What was so great about Brazil? As far as he knew, Brazil was shitheap full of morons obsessed with football and Formula One. It was the ne plus ultra of violence, corruption and misery. If ever a country were loathsome that country, specifically, was Brazil.
"'Sophie,' announced Bruno, 'I could go on holiday to Brazil tomorrow. I'd look around a favela. The windows of the minibus would be bulletproof. In the morning, I'd go sightseeing. Check out eight-year-old murderers who dream of growing up to be gangsters; thirteen-year-old prostitutes dying of AIDS. I'd spend the afternoon at the beach surrounded by filthy rich drug barons and pimps. I'm sure that in such a passionate, not to mention liberal, society, I could shake off the malaise of Western civilisation. You're right, Sophie: I'll go straight to a travel agent as soon as I get home.'"
Atomised - Michel Houellebecq
"The alarming breakdown of society will lead to new forms of apartheid and emergency states. He (Slavoj Zizek) highlights the growing militarisation of Italy, where the government has sent the army into Naples to deal with the mafia. He claims that São Paulo in Brazil is mutating into a real-life version of the film Blade Runner (1982). The city now has 70 heliports with the rich travelling on another level to the poor."
The modest Marxist, John Thornhill, Financial Times, 7 Mart 2009
"Operating by cell phone, a highly organized prison gang launched an attack that shut down Brazil’s largest city last May, with the authorities powerless to stop it. For many in São Paulo, this vast, amorphous criminal network is the only government they have."
City of Fear, William Langewiesche, Vanity Fair, Nisan 2007

Hobby land
Anton Corbijn neden Hollanda'dan ayrilip Ingiltere'ye yerlestigini anlatirken Hollanda'dan neden 'iyi' muzik cikmadigini/cikmayacagini da soylemis oluyor bana sorarsaniz.
In England it felt like art, photography and music was much more life or death, whereas in Holland it felt subsidised so that was why I left. When I photographed musicians in England in the 1970s I got so much more out of the pictures than photographing people in Holland because the whole intensity of being a musician in England -- trying to get out of those grey tower blocks and trying to make a name for yourself -- it really meant so much to those people, they really meant everything they were doing. In Holland it felt like music was a hobby. For me photography was also very important as a way of survival and I felt I was much more linked to the English spirit than the Dutch spirit. I think I was always and still am attracted to people who care very much about what they're doing and who involve themselves totally.

“NTV Bilim” dergisi son sayısında kapak konusu olarak “belleğin sırlarını” işliyor.
Yukardaki Bunuel’e ait satırları o dergide okudum.
14 yaşında, yüzde 70’i, “Dinin kendisine çok yardımcı olduğunu” söylemiştir.
